About me

I am a 27 year old homebird who loves spending time outdoors on our cattle farm. With horses, an ever increasing herd of beef cattle, small terrier and large farmhouse and garden, there is a never ending job list. Something I am negotiating with the newest member of our family, our beautiful son, Albert.

Abigail Dowdy

I am living the dream that my 10-year-old self wished for. I have my pony at the bottom of the garden, surrounded by fields and animals, a farmhouse we are turning into a forever home and a large garden I can use however I see fit. Most recently, I gave birth to the most perfect little boy, Albert, who is turning our adventure into something entirely new again!

I think there is a beauty in simple-living but the role of the ‘homebird’, stay at home Mum or farmers wife is not always an easy one. In fact, it’s a full-time job that supersedes your standard 40 hours a week. So if you like green fields, gardening pictures and a likeminded person waffling on about how they’ve picked up tips or how she is building a life for her family, then this blog is for you!

My background

I am currently on maternity leave but usually I am the Rural Administrator for a busy team of Land Agents working in and around Northamptonshire.
